Graduated from Towson State Teacher's College (now Towson University). Recently received an honorary Masters degree.

Has been in three separate productions associated with DC comics. First as the Riddler in The Adventures of Batman & Robin, Dr. Jason Woodrue in Batman & Robin, then as Lionel Luthor in Smallville.

Studies acting with Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hills Playhouse

Visits his Alma Mater Towson University in Maryland regularly to work with drama students in the Fine Arts College.

Won Broadway's 1995 Tony Award as Best Actor (Featured Role - Play) for the dual roles of John Jeckyll and James Jeckyll in Terence McNally's "Love! Valour! Compassion!", parts he recreated in the film version of the same title, Love! Valour! Compassion!.

Other Works

Many Broadway & off-Broadway credits, including "Love! ValourCompassion!" for which he received the 1995 Tony Award as Best Featured Actor in a Play. He later recreated this role for the film.

(February 2002): Plays Dawid in the "Sorrows and Rejoicings" play by Athol Fugard (Second Stage Theatre, New York City, New York, USA).

Provided the voice for the book-on-tape format of Clive Barker's "The Thief of Always."

(June 2005): Plays Anton Kilgallen in "The Paris Letter" play by Jon Robin Baitz (Laura Pels Theatre, New York City, New York, USA).

Provided the Narration for Stephen King's Night Shift Collection Books on Tape
